For those on a tight budget, there are establishments like the Hostal San Glorio which is situated in a privileged area in the city center of Santander near the famous "Barrio Pesquero" (the fishermen´s quarter). The hostel is located near the train, bus and ferry stations but is five kilometers from the airport. It has 30 rooms, eight of which are single and the other 22 double, all equipped with: bathroom, television, telephone, central heating and piped music.
Another alternative is the Golf Hostel, a modern establishment restored in 1999 and located four kilometers from Santander, in Maliaño, close to the airport, the Park of the Cabarceno Nature, and the beaches of Somo and Pedreña.
It has 20 rooms-single, double, triple and quadruple settings capable of accommodating a total of 68 people--with their own bathrooms, TVs and 24-hour Internet connection and offers room and laundry services, a bar and restaurant and parking. Reception is available 24 hours.
The Los Angeles Sercotel is located at San Camilo, 1, 39691 Boo de Guarnizo, and is eight minutes from the Cabárceno Park, seven minutes from Santander and five minutes from the airport. Situated within the landscape of the Cantabrian Coast, this two-star hotel has a car rental service, a floor for non-smokers, facilities for the disabled, air conditioning, piped music, a la carte breakfast, a traditional cuisine restaurant and shellfish farm and parking with close circuit TV. It also offers outsourced sports services like a fitness center.
